free program to record Pandora radio?

I’m looking for a free and legal way to download music. I know recording internet radio is legal, and I own the free version of station ripper. Station ripper works alright, but will only record from Pandora if you have the registered copy. I have also checked out Replay Music, which works fine but costs 40$ to buy. Does anyone know of a good quality and free program that will record Pandora radio, cut in between songs, and give it the id3 tags?

5 stars for the best answer! Thanks!
thanks to both of you for answering.

Jeff R: Pandora’s Jar seems like the better option. I researched it and it seems good, but I cannot find where to download the actual program. Can you please tell me where to download it or post a link? Thanks!

i’m not sure about the legality of ripping from pandora, however there’s an app out there called pandora’s jar that does a great job at it. you’ll need to go through some of the blogs on it as setup can be a bit of a pain but once it’s running it’s great. i’ve put the app on a flash drive so when it downloads songs, it will put them on the flash drive and i can just unplug and take it with me. (great from public computers) but again, i’m not sure it’s entirely legal….

there’s also a great ripper that rips from shoutcast stations. (ripcast) not quite that great although it’s getting better. sure, it does all the things you need; naming songs, id3 tags, etc. however often the shoutcast stations will blend the songs together before transitioning the song title. so you’ll end up a file that the intro will have a little bit of the previous song and the outtro(?) will have a bit of the next song phased in.

also you can check out http://all-streaming-media.com
for information regarding other rippers.
