Go to Malaysia or Singapore?

Hello, let me tell you a bit about myself :)

I am a young DJ/Music producer and that is what I like to do… and I like to play online game and console game haha

I have an interest in learning languages.. i learned some hokkien, malay, and some cantonese too ^^

I have had an interest in Malaysia and Singapore for a while but, I dont know which i should go to…

So.. where should I go? Malaysia or Singapore? ^^ Thanks!
Forgot to add, just looking for a nice place to live in with a nice community :)

My suggestion is to live in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Even though Johor may have some safety issues but i think it is still a better place to live rather than living in a crowded HDB apartment in Singapore. Generally the cost of living in Johor is much lower than in Singapore. For entertainment, Singapore definitely has the edge over Johor but no problem, you can just cross over to Singapore to enjoy yourself or even to work. No offense to Singaporean but i have to say that Malaysians are friendlier perhaps because of the faster lifestyle in Singapore. Overall here are the pros and cons of both countries

Pros – Malaysia
- less congested housing
- lower cost of living
- friendlier people
Pros – Singapore
- extremely clean country
- low crime rate
- excellent shopping / entertainment
- excellent public services and transportation services
Cons – Malaysia
- high crime rate
- not that clean
- poor public services and transportation services
Cons – Singapore
- higher cost of living
- cramped housing
- less friendly due to faster lifestyle

Though Singapore looks like a better place but i would suggest you to live in Malaysia ( to enjoy the lower cost of living and better housing ), afterall Singapore is just a short ride away, you can go there everyday like what many Johor people are doing. Those languages that you have learned could be used it both countries.
