Contemporary Christian Music Categories
Looking for some Christian Indie/Folk Rock Bands?
I have been having a really hard time finding Christian music that I like… I love bands like Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service… I love Regina Spektor, Sufjan Stevens, Cold Play, Muse… stuff like that, and I am looking for some Christian artists in these genres. By Christian artist I mean people who are in love with the Lord and not ashamed of it… people who live their lives according to the word of God… I’m not a fan of contemporary christian artists or Christian rock… (I also LOVE stuff like Tiger Army, Nekromantix… anything psychobilly but I’ve pretty much given up on finding anything Christian in this category. I think “Christian Psychobilly” is an oxymoran)
I’ve listened to almost all the mainstream bands and I wasn’t interested. If anyone has any suggestions I would LOOOVE to hear them. (I did find one band that I like so far – Owl City)
